Analysis & Implementation Of M3UA In No.7 Signaling Gateway

This paper introduces the architecture of CMT system and discusses the technical background of NGN and Softswitch simply. Based on this, it also introduces the signaling gateway and M3UA. After lucubrateing the M3UA, it discusses the realization and test of it.As the important part of signaling gateway, M3UA has the ability of adapting the MTP3 message of No.7. By M3UA, each No.7 node in PSTN can exchange MTP3 message with IP node.Through analyzing and studying M3UA protocol, this paper brings up a modularization method to ensure the integrality of it.M3UA is divided into eight relative independent modules which based on its function. These modules are dispatched mutually to implement M3UA. This paper completes the interface primitives of M3UA with up and down layer, communication primitives of modules. In the process of implementation, it improves some function, e.g. the assignment mechanism of ASP.Based on the implementation, it also tests the M3UA program referring to the M3UA test specification. The test result indicates that the M3UA program fulfils the technical index of test specification ultimately.Because the whole system is running over IP, the network security is especially important. In the end, this paper gives some suggestions to reduce security risk.
