The operation of modern corporation is more than depended on information techology,the lose of the information data will lead to unmeasurable damage of corporations.How to resist large disaster is more important to corporations.At the present time,It is unique solution that the remote disaster recorvery(DR) system is built. Investigating the domestic and international application of DR system, We know that the international DR system is very expensive because of need the private network or fibre channel, and usually used at the bank or telecom company.At the same time,the interior reaserch of DR system is just begining.The most of mid-small corporations have not own DR system.Once the disaster happened,It would lead to huge damage.Therefore,It is very high academic value and applied value that reseaching and developing the DR system that is self-porperty,secure,effective and low-cost. In this paper,the disaster recovery system(DRC) via Internet is discussed. The data is backup to remote data sit via Internet. And the local synchronous mirror system is used to improving the availability. This disaster recovery system is low-cost,secure,effective.It is consist of four parts:remote mirror system,local synchronous mirror system,secure transfer system and firewall system.Specifically, the contribution in the paper includes as follows:The design and implementation of the via Internet disaster recovery system.It is used for either data disaster recovery system that pretects the integrality of data or application disaster recovery system that provides with the service's continuous.On the basis of analyzed the remote synchronous techology,designed and realized the remote mirror system that is the same with low-bandwidth and high-delay.It can quickly synchronise the mirror data between the local and remote by reduced the transfered data. The design and implementation of the function of the switch of service.Once the local server is failure,the remote server would take over the service and be sure that the service is continuous.In this disaster recovery system, all operations of managers are recorded in system log, and digital watermark technology is used to ensure authoritativeness, accountability, integrity of the log and avoid that the log is modified unlawfully.the data encrypted transfer techology is used to sure the security of transfering data on Internet.It can provide whth high strength encryption and authentication based on PKI.integrated with the firewall techology.It provide with the functions of the stateful packet filter,NAT and IDS. the system can avoid the attack from hack.In a word,this disaster recovery system has strong functions, and is secure and effective. Not need special fibre channel,It can build high level disaster recovery system on low-level system platform. It is a perferable scheme for the interior mid-small corporations and has high value and significance.On April 25 2003, Disease Resume Centre (DRC) based on Internet passed the appraisement of Sichuan Science and Technology Department. Every member in the appraisal council appraises DRC like this: The System is the first disease resume system, which is based on Internet across zone and platform, and its technology is the first rank.
