In recent years, the applications of PACS(Picture Archiving and Communication System) has developed from those confined in the digital management of medical images in radiology department to those ,which we call C-PACS now, used in the full management of images with the core of digital diagnosis. Under current conditions, PACS has not been used widely in China. Besides economic factors, there still remains some key problems unsolved, the acquirement of non-DICOM medical images the connection with other systems, the transformation to Chinese version of PACS etc. are included.In this thesis, we study some of the key aspects in C-PACS applications, combining with the reality in the middle and small scale hospitals in our country, with the precondition of standardization and availability and with the goal of high reliability, economization,high efficiency. Around these problems, The main works to study in the thesis are:· In this paper, we analyze and study the architecture of PACS controller, communication architecture and data transmission tactful etc. Design and realize the major SCP class ,and scheme of system frame is given .· Researched the method of blending non-DICOM format medical image source into PACS system. On the foundation of analysis of characteristic on medical image data source, the process of image conversion and storage is given.· Researched the methods of information interchange between PACS and HIS/RIS. On the basis of analysis of HL7 and DICOM standard, we specially study the questions about how to solve data conflictions and the protocol transformation between DICOM and HL7. The design and implementation schemas of DIC0M/HL7 gateway are given, which integrates PACS with HIS/RIS.
