Based on research and development of Integrated Supply Chain Management (ISCM), we adopt the process of component oriented software development, lay emphasis on the Integrated Modeling Method of XUML (extended UML) and ACME, and research on the architecture model and component model of VMI (vendor managed inventory) software. At the begging, according to CMM and United software process (USP), a component oriented software process model is put forward in the paper. Then, a set of extensions to the structure model and behavior model of UML are proposed, and the description of architecture template, which is based on the open semantic framework of ACME, is also given. After that, the VMI manage model is discussed and concluded. Depend on this, the domain demand framework is abstracted and the domain analysis model is built up. Further, the relevant domain design included the class model and interaction model design, are carried trough. And some technologies such as design pattern, three-tiered architecture are used to optimize the design. In the end, the implementation of VMI architecture model and component model is also provided. We apply the proposed process model and modeling method in the research of VMI software architecture. It makes the whole development process more precise, and efficiently enhances the veracity and realizability of the software model. It gets satisfied application result.
