According to the IEC, this article studied the electronic equipment cabinet, usedthe 3D engineering design software PRO/E to set up the geometry model, then built thefinite element model by the geometry one being channeled into the finite elementanalysis software ANSYS. We numerically simulated and analyzed the static intensitytest, rigidity test, compelled vibration test, resonance test, random vibration test, impacttest etc. The results of numerical simulation are almost the same as those of the realtests. This method can't only find weak parts for design and provide the strongtheoretical values for rationality and prophet of design but offer the reliable guaranteefor optimal or dynamical design of the structure of the cabinet. Meanwhile, the passingrate of once-test was improved—under some conditions the simulation can take theplace of tests, so the cost of products can be reduced obviously, the development periodshorten, and the global design or test level improved. It's significant to the improvementof craft structure and level of design of power industry and has great use value.
