As one of Induction Heating technic, Penetrable Induction Heating make use of the electromagnetism induction to produce the eddy current inside of the roughcast material, and heat up the roughcast by the eddy current. Penetrable induction heating are widely used in billet forging. If the temperature difference between the center and surface of the roughcast is too large, the adjunctive stress and fine texture inside of the roughcast will be asymmetry, and even lead to crack, which is harmful to the shaped technics and roughcast quality. Thereby, the temperature of roughcast should be controlled in a reasonable range. In this paper, basing on the principle and characteristic of induction heating, the finite element simulation of induction heating temperature field of 45 steel roughcast is studied. The purpose is to forecast the heat behavior of induction heating and provide gist for the design and amelioration of inductor and the heating technics, combined with the computer technology. The main content can be summed up as follows:Firstly, within finite element simulation, the modeling of induction coil was simplifyed reasonably, the coefficient between magnetic field intension and position was analyzed and would be used to ameliorate the analyse results of one dimension simulation.Secondly, simplify the square roughcast model into a column model, by the fundamental of quality equal and hemisecting the column axially, which was built up by the inscribedcircle and circumcircle of the square roughcast. Illuminate the temperature change of the square roughcast by the temperature of three sections.Thirdly, investigate the traditional design method of induce heater. Conform the design process of inductor to emulational system by the Visual Basic software, in order to heighten the design efficiency. Fourthly, encapsulated ANSYS by Visual Basic, developed a system interface of induction heating design united the both excellence of ANSYS and Visual Basic, made the ANSYS finite element simulation approach of induction heating more simple and convenient.
