As a successor of electronic computer, Ternary Optical Computer has much more advantages, such as the higher parallelism, faster operation speed, and the ability to directly handle ternary logic. So it can handle a lot of difficult problems which can not be easily handled by binary electronic computer. Currently, Ternary Optical Computer has come from theory to practice, and it has acquired compelling achievements. This paper was supported by the National Science Foundation and NPU Yingcai Grand. The future research direction of Ternary Optical Computer is to leverage the advantage of large bits parallelism, and study the algorithmic/logic operator with high bits of parallelism. Its first step is to design and implement the Ternary Optical Computer's 100s-bit Coderc. This article discusses a scheme of design, implementation and experiment of Ternary Optical Computer's lOOs-bit encoder, which is based on Ternary Optical Computer's multibits encoder. It include:1) Principle of Ternary Optical Computer and its Encoder: This part mainly recommends its optic foundation, information representation and elementary structure. Then it shows a basic way of encoding and decoding by explaining Ternary Optical Computer's one bit encoder/decoder.2) Design of Ternary Optical Computer's 100s-bit Encoder: The section puts forward the Ternary Optical Computer's l00s-bit Encoder characteristics by comparing with small quantity bits ternary encoder. It also shows the design of its encoding screen (ES), driving of and its control circuit liquid crystal based on these characteristics.3) Implementation of Ternary Optical Computer's lOOs-bit Encoder: Emphasis is paid on the implementing method of Ternary Optical Computer's lOOs-bit Encoder It uses LCD module YM12832 A got by market as kernel, and SCM 87C51 as controller. It relates to alteration LCD module, Implementation of driving and control circuit, and also their software implementation. In addition, it shows an application scheme of Ternary Optical Computer which is "foreside-processor & computing-server".4) Experiment of Ternary Optical Computer's 100s-bit Encoder: it refers to selecting test-data, experiment course and result analysis. Then the article concludes that the implementation of Ternary Optical Computer's lOOs-bit encoder is feasible and Ternary Optical Computer has great power in parallel computing.
