Studies On Database And Solid Modeling Of CASTSoft Software

Numerical simulation of mold filling of castings is the key to put an end to the backwardness of the foundry industry, to decrease the scrap of castings, and thus to improve the economic profit. Therefore, numerical simulation of mold filling of castings has been studied in the dissertation.In view of the present native researches on numerical simulation of mold filling of castings being less which has made great inconveniences to native production, the center of casting of North University of China has studied and developed the software of numerical simulation of mold filling of castings. The author has studed the two important modules of database and solid modeling.The first, based on useded the database of Access in this system, the Visual C++6.0 has been adoped as developed environment and applied advanced technology of ADO to the connection,query, accession and deletion of database and developed a suit of applied software of database.The function of database of software CASTSoft has been realized and fulfilled the consumer's demand of operating database.Besides, the module of solid modeling has been researched. The author has exploited a suit of system of solid modeling of self-contained function,advanced principle of design.
