Monitoring System Of Broad-Band Repeater For GSM Mobile Communication

With mobile communication developing rapidly, the range of any kind of wireless communications will produce the result that the signal is faint or vacant in some areas. But in remote areas or vacant areas that the number of users is few, because of high in cost and complex in infrastructure, it is difficult to build analog or digital base stations. So it is necessary to provide an economical and efficient equipment with the functions of mini-base station, therefore repeater is a good solution for wireless network optimization with low cost and simple building.The paper comes from the project of repeater monitoring system for the Department of Network Optimization, Mobile Communication of Shaanxi. Based on theoretic analysis of GSM mobile communication and repeater, the author puts the emphasis on the software and hardware designing and implementation of the master board for the repeater monitoring system. The master board has the important role as the key part of the monitoring system, which monitors and manages all function modules of the repeater, including repeater statement checking, HPA switching and ATT setting and reporting the repeater statement to the monitoring center forwardly.Finally, the paper gives a simple introduction to the third generation mobile communication technology, and makes a detailed discuss of the key technology of 3G repeater.
