The computing paradigm has changed from the mainframe computing paradigm and the desktop computing paradigm into the ubiquitous/pervasive computing paradigm. A new type of embedded devices called wireless networked sensors, which combine a low-power microcontroller (MCU), several storage devices, a set of communication devices and sensors has become a great choice in the pervasive computing paradigm.Basing on the development of the embedded system technology and the pervasive computing technology, this thesis firstly analyzes the typical characteristics and the organization of the wireless networked sensors and investigates the affection which is brought into the construction of the system software running on these wireless netorked sensors due to their special characteristics. After that, this thesis also discusses the component model, the event-driven mode, the scheduler, the primitives and the communication protocol of the micro operating system that can run on a wireless networked sensor. The Wireless networked sensors is an application of the networked embedded system. Due to the diverse applications and the hardware platforms, it is quite important a key that how to efficiently design and develop a appropriate system under these circumstances. This thesis also concentrates on the issues of the programming language, AntC which is applied for the developing of networked embedded system, including the AntC's design rules, and working steps, and implementation tools and epecially the its support of component model and event-driven mode used in the networked embedded systems.
