Wireless Sensor Network is a new research area of computer science and technology and has a wide application future. Both academia and industries are very interested in it. Wireless sensor network is integration of sensor techniques, nested computation techniques, distributed computation techniques and wireless communication techniques. It can be used for testing, sensing, collecting and processing information of monitored objects and transferring the processed information to users. It is a new kind of information accessing and processing technology.Wireless Sensor Network is application specific, rather than general purpose. On one hand, this thesis aims to introduce this new techonology into the field of aeronautic testing and provide a new solution for aeronautic testing. On the other hand, the application in aeronautic testing also extends the appliction area of wireless sensor network.At the beginning of this thesis the development and current situation of the Wireless Sensor Network has been introduced. The typical architecture of Wireless Sensor Network has been analyzed and the challenge to the traditional aeronautical testing. A novel aircraft monitoring system based on Wireless Sensor Network technology has been put forward. Some issues about this system has also been discussed in chapter 4, such as routing protocol and deployment of nodes. Finally, the preceding work has been summarized and the futhur prospect of the application of Wireless Sensor Network has been predicted.
