Research And Realize The Functions Of Centralized Collection And Control The Alerts Of Switching System

Up to date, as the users of telecom network increased rapidly and new switching system used, it is necessary to build a management system with multi-functions and enough convenience. We can manage and maintain all types of switching system centrally through this system, to improve the efficiency and quality of the telecom network.This subject researched and designed the system based on the computer techniques. The operator can control all different types of swithing system through the same operated-terminal. The system realizes the functions of which collect and control the alerts of switching system centrally.We used a project called data unpacked to design the system. The tools of equipment definition, unpacked definition, display definition and form definition are included. The system can deal with all alert reports from different types of switching system. When the old switching system's release is changed, or a new swithing system is used, the only work the user needs to do is to define the methods of collection, adding, amending or cancelling the configuration of the database instead of amending the whole programme by programmer. On the other hand, using the form definition tool, the users can define the format of all kinds of forms they needed by themselves.When the system is set up, it provides four main functions as: monitoring fault alerts, setting the faults threshold, inquiring faults messages and faults statistic. Through dynamic analysis and processing in real-time, we can shorten the time of faults. We can find hidden trouble of equmients and solve them quickly. Furthermore, since the network will be centrally monitored and controlled, the number of personnel on duty in every individual switching node will be reduced or be eliminated. The number of persons is reduced from 500 to 200.Having been put into test for more than 6 months, the system is running steadily and satisfactorily. It is convenient to be operated and it satisfies the real maintenance condition. The anticipated goals of the system design have been achieved. Now it was applied in others telecom networks of GuangDong province.
