With the application of network becoming universal increasingly, embedded system need network function support gradually, and the network function has already became the development direction of embedded system. Especially in these years, with the appearance of "Embedded Internet", more and more embedded devices joined the Internet,which make our world become better roboticized, intelligentized and human kindness.Before the Internet, many LANs already existed in this world, such as ethernet in particular.The embedded system, either connect to the LANs, or connect to Internet, must realize the ethernet communication first.However, various LANs have different architectures and data transmission rules. A uniform transmission specification will be demanded for making these inpendent LANs connectedness. Now TCP/IP provides this uniform specification. TCP/IP is a universal supported network protocol family, also the key technology of the network communication.DSP is an important research field in embedded application.It has strong computation ablity. Adding network function will make DSP have strong communication ablity at same time. The data DSP input or DSP output can share with other network devices directly.This design built an ethernet communication system hardware platform using TMS320F2812 DSP and fast ethernet controller Ax88796.Porting the embedded multi-task operation system μC/OS-Ⅱ, developed the Ax88796's driver and TCP/IP protocol stack.Finally,an embedded web server is built on this system.Many models and porcessing flows in this design have much reference value, will offer some help in other embedded system except DSP.This system gets the goal of high efficiency, high speed and high reliability. It has already been put into practice successfully.
