Embedded system is a technology evolving computer technology, semiconductor and the electronic technology in the products. To the embedded system study of siglechip, with the rapid progress of semiconductors producing technology and the higher level of chip designing, the performance of the singlechip has been improved greatly, and the application of it has been scaled greatly.Under such environment, introducing the Real-time Operating System (RTOS) to the siglechip system can change the development of the software from all by hand to collaboration work, that is a efficient method to resolve this problem.Today, there are a lot of famous commercial embedded operating systems, such as Windows CE of Microsoft, VxWorks of WindRiver. Some free embedded system is also coming up, such as RT-Linux and uC/OS etc. The study of embedded operating system will become an important project in the embedded research field. The paper mainly studies the porting of an embedded real-time operating system named UC/OS-II basing on the DSP DSP56F826 and then designs the Embedded Systems Building Block, called SCI Building Block, based on DSP56F826 and UC/OS-II.The first chapter gives the definition of the embedded system, analyzes the evaluating criterions of the real-time operating system, and studies the status and the trend of it.The second chapter analyses the sytem structure and the features of DSP56F826 and UC/OS-II.The third chapter explains the approach and procedure about how to porting uCOS-II based on DSP56F826 and then gives the testing code to prove the validity of system porting. In the forth chapter, ater analysed the functions and features of DSP56F826's SCI ModuleJ designed the SCI Building Block based on DSP56F826 and UC/OS-II.At last, the paper summarize the previous work, and give the expectation of the future work.
