Research And Implementation Of Embedded CAN-Ethernet Gateway Based On ARM And UCOS-II

The rapid development of computer and network technique, initiated the profound technique evolution in industry control field. CAN bus supports distributed control and real time control, but misfit long distance transmission. With the elevated certainty, real time performance and intrinsically safe performance, industrial Ethernet has become more and more prevalent in industry control field. Digital Control Platform of Coal Mine Safe Production, the source of this dissertation, adopts CAN & Ethernet architecture. Embedded gateway connects these two different networks, is an important part of this platform. It makes sense to design the software and hardware of the gateway, aiming at the characteristic of the coal mine.The functions of the gateway are analyzed at first. A method is proposed to classify priorities of different information. The protocol conversion model of the gateway and the addressing method of CAN bus and Ethernet are proposed after researching tunnel mechanism. The idea of software design is decided by the mechanism of ARM-based micro processor. UCOS-II is tailored and transplanted onto LPC2194, and tasks are designed. The protocol stacks of CAN bus and embedded TCP/IP are designed and realized, during which the ISA bus of RTL8019AS is simulated by using GPIO ports of LPC2194. The protocol conversion program, the serial communication program and the PC test program are developed. At last, the gateway is applied to the Coal Mine Engine Supervising System. The functions and performance of the gateway are tested by practice.The embedded gateway is the comprehensive application of ARM, UCOS-II, CAN bus and Ethernet. It realizes the seamless connection between CAN bus and Ethernet, and is benefit for the integration of control and management in the whole coal mine. The embedded gateway has great application prospect.
