A Study On The Running Machanism And Management Mode Of Digital Library

In this paper, the consistruction and the running of digital libraries are studied and dicussed mainly. And especially such aspects are studied as the building of digital library system architecture, the forming of the functional blocks, the founding of the organizational departments, the establishing of the managerial systems, and the human structures and their guality requirements. The major results are as follows:1) The construction and the running process of digital libraries are studied systematically, and their system architecture, the functional blocks, the organizational departments, the managerial systems, the human requirements, and their construction obstacles are studied and pondered thoroughly.2) The building of the system architectures is studied sincerely, thus putting forward a new three-layer user/server system, which is divided into two service layers. One of them is the user-oriented WEB service layer. The other is the opplication service layer, which provides the users and the managers with data connecting. The lower is the data service layer.3) After studying and comparing digital libraries with traditional libraries, and in order to realize the functions of digital libraries, put forward are the qrganizational departments of digital libraries. They are the construction department of digital resources, the organizing department of digital resources, the system maintaining department, the sering department of digital resources and the office of digital library.4) According to the running characteristics of digital libraries, set up the managing system, mode, rule and method.5) Also described are those problems appearing in the construction of digital libraries running process. And respectively explained in detail are the aspects such as technical, safety, law and standard problems.
