Image monitoring is a technology with very strong application, and covers many subjects, and has close combination with advanced technology. Its technical requirement is high very much, and its application field is very extensive. It has close contact with society development, the production of industry and agriculture and people' s life. Image monitoring technology is concerned with image formation technology, digital signal process technology, image compression coding technology, image transmission technology, network communication technology, image storage technology and electronic technology, and so on. In the new development of it, the application of multimedia technology and new computer technology will be also more and more extensive. Therefore, the research of image monitoring technology will be of very high actual application value.Additionally, with the appearance of MPEG-4 etc. and .the unceasing development and popularizing of Internet network, as well as users' new requirement for image monitoring, the development of image monitoring technology is very fast. Therefore, it is also very important to research for the new development of image monitoring technology, and this is also an opportunity for tracing abroad new technology.The major work of this thesis is as follows:l.The emphasis of this thesis lies in the applying of image monitoring technology in actual project. In the developing course of the actual project" remote image monitoring system of power system ", this thesis researched and designed the systematic structure, the type selecting of systematic equipment, the function of each part of the system and the system flow. At the same time, it utilized the thought and method of software engineering 梩he software developing and designing as engineering, to carry out software requirements analysis and project plan, and used FP (function points) to estimate the workof this project, and completed software requirements specification and project specification, and with this the systematic software was developed and designed.2. Preliminarily researched B/S (Browser/Server) structure remote network monitoring system as one of the popular research subjects in image monitoring technology, and analyzed the background of B/S structure image monitoring technology producing. The software structure of B/S image monitoring is three-layer pattern, and this thesis analyzed each layer. Using Visual Studio . NET and C#. NET Web-, ASP. NET, this thesis also designed it preliminarily.3. Further analyzed the advantage and shortcoming of C/S and B/S monitoring technology, and for this, two structures were compared.
