In this project, a computer system has been developed to monitor and adjust electrical signal, and to analyze the harmonic in the power system. Firstly the electrical signal and the harmonic have been theoretically analyzed for the clear understanding needed for the system analysis. Then The PCI-based input/output card has been designed to interface the IBM or compatible PC using I/O channel on the system boars. The high voltage electrical analog signal has been processed by two analogs signal conditioning equipment known as: three-phases voltage transformer and three-phases current transformer. The processed signals are then fed to the PCI-DAC. The A/D conversion is started. The converted digital data is then send to the buffer. The main board automatically assigns the I/O address if necessary. A software program has been developed using Delphi for data acquisition, data processing, recording and displaying in various forms such as graphical or textual or tabular and also in printed form. The database is designed using Delphi.
