The development of network caused the change of the control system, the development direction of the control system is network. In the future, the most important character of control system is network: the automatization needs network, and the network needs the automatization. "network control" and "control network" are the direction of automatization.The huge building's window control system is a wild used multifunction utility on huge buildings, it can used in lighting, airiness and fire protection. Through the control boxes and the industrial computer, operators can control every windows, the windows control system also can control the windows automatism based on the sensors.In this paper, the development status and characteristics of control system are stated briefly, and the development direction of control system with the development of network technology is confirmed. Based on the network framework of the remote control system, some basic program architectures are discussed, and detailed study is made about remote control system. Some prevailing network and distributed technology, such as Winsock, Java, DCOM, CORBA and JavaRMI, are discussed, most of all, a rising important basic technology application named OPC, which is used for manufacture industry and instrument control field, is studied in detail. Based on the analysis and study of these technology, four solutions are developed, they are the solution based on Winsock, distributed object, OPC and Web technology.The huge building's window control system is based on the network control system, there is a industrial computer in every build unit, the industrial computers is used for collecting window's information and accepting the control commands. In the build unit, the communication protocol between the industrial computers, the control box and the control terminals is RS-422, the communication protocol between the industrial computers in each build unit is TCP/IP. The industrial computers are connected by networks or Intranet, every computers on the net can control the windows in the building's window control system. The remote control mode in the building's window control system is based on Winsock, distributing object is based on DCOM, OPC quick programming tools is used in the program of the distributing object. Between the PC and the industrial computers, The control system is used the Web control system combined with Microsoft's ActiveX technology. In the huge building's window control system, the control program is include 4 parts: the interface module, the serial communication module, the Winsock communication module and the OPC server module. The interface module is used for information displaying, operators can know the system's status. The serial communication module is used for the communications between the industrial computers and the control boxes. The Winsock communication module is used for the communications between each industrial computer. The OPC server module is used for the communications between industrial computers and the PC on the network.In this project, The progam didn't use the JavaBean, CORBA, JavaRMI, It just be analysed from the feasibility. Furthermore, The huge building's window control system is based on Intranet, so in this contronl system, it didn't involved in complex security, these problems will be consummated in the future.
