A Distributed Routing Algorithm Research In Mobile Environment

With the progress of network technology and wireless communication technology, future Internet will more and more supply users with mobility supporting. During mobile TCP/IP real time communications, two matters may occur. One is that the notification mechanism of MobileIPv6 protocol may transmit out-of-order TCP packet sequences. The other is that the overfull signal flux, such as management signal, registering message, especially in mobile environment, may congests communication channel and therefore lowers the quality of communication. In order to solve these problems at one time, we propose a distributed routing scheme in which two new agents, Local Agent and Redirection Agent, are introduced and substitute for the Foreign Agent of traditional mobile IP protocol. Forming a distributed structure, the two agents respectively take charge of some agency business which are formly done by the Foreign Agent. Simulation results confirm that applying distributed agency structure in mobile environment improves average throughput and lowers the amount of out-of-order TCP sequence numbers to some extent.
