Mobile Agent-based Distributed Routing Algorithm

AntNet is a novel algorithm in communication networks. In AntNet, a group of mobile agents build paths between pair of nodes, exploring the network and exchanging obtained information to update the routing tables. This paper analyzes AntNet and proposes improvements such as initialization of routing tables, control of the number of agents in the network, updating of routing tables after network resources failures, comparing their performance with respect to the original AntNet. At the end of this paper, a brief summary and some conceives about the further research are introduced.
