The Understanding And Its Reasons Of The US Media To The Islamic World After Sep.11th

How to interpret the tense relationship between US and the Islamic world which has manifested in Sep.llth and deteriorated after the Afghan War and the Iraq War? The author believes that the understanding to the Islamic world of US foreign policy-makers is the mental foundation of US policy to the Islamic world and the American media is the center reflection of this understanding. So, this thesis chooses, samples, and analyzes the reports of Newsweek, Times and The New York Times, the three most famous mainstream media in US and extract the understanding to the Islamic world of the American media. Then, the author explains the reasons of the understanding in several respects. At the end of the thesis, the author argues that the Islamic world should discard the victim feeling and confront the challenges of the contemporary era straightly in order to realize the great dream of revival which has been pursued by many Muslim sages for ages.
