The Research Of WCDMA Network's Performance Management

The 3G has been the hotspot recently not only In the Telecommunication Industry but also In the Area of Media. The aboil competitions, which were accompanying with Standards, System Framework and System Termination applications, broke out not only among every govement but also among all the manufacturers and all the operarors. At the same time, with the improvement of the technology level and expansion of the network system, the maintaining cost increases dramatically, and become the big part of the equipment cost, an efficient and convenient Telecommnication Managent of Network become an important factor in the competition between the Telecom equipment vendors.WCDMA Core Network(CN) is the most important part of WCDMA network, and it has many equipments, such as MSC, SGSN, GGSN, VLR etc. All those equipment's running configuration, performance estimation, fault detecting, and system update play an important role in the operation and maintenance of the whole communication system.This paper makes out a convenient and efficiente resolution based on Element Management System through study of the WCDMA Core Network.During the development of the subject, we firstly studied and discussed the 3GPP TS 32.101, 3GPP TS 25.401, ITUT M.3010 and other related protocol fully. And researched deeply into the internal structure of WCDMA Core Network(CN), management network of CN and the Operations. On the base of the detaile analysis of typical management model of TMN, we give out a performance management model and protocol model of WCDMA CN, and implement it wholly.The most import contribution in the paper includes: Implement performance management of Element Management System; Imlement performance management of OMC Agent; Implement communications between EMS and OMC Agent.
