| Intelligent machine and image information technology is the intercross and integration of mechanical-, electronic-, control-, optics-, image information- and network-technology. It is a new orientation of the technology and product development. Net Dome Camera is a new typical product, which bases on the intelligent machine and image information technology. In this work we focus on some key new technologies for image compression and communication, perform many researches and experiments deeply. This thesis develops mainly the research in the field of image compression. Combinating with the Net Dorm Camera, a new monitoring system is designed based on H263+. On the part of the control of Dorm Camera's platform and the setup of camera's parameter, using the TCP/IP embedded system implements the interface to the ethernet.The work is organized as follows:Chapter 1 briefly reviews the general situation of Net Dome Camera, image compression and network transmission technology. Finally several key technologies for the Net Dome Camera are discussed, namely image coding algorithm, motion picture compression standard and network transmission.In chapter 2, the wavelets theory and it's application in image compression is analyzed. Image coding is implemented using embedded zerotree wavelet technique. Afterwards, the experimental results are given.Chapter 3 brings forward Contractive Affine Transformation and Iterated Function System, gives the implementation of fractal image coding algorithm and shows the simulated results.Chapter 4 presents the technology of IFS in the wavelet domain. A new improved coding algorithm based on the IFS mapping in the DWT domain is proposed. The coder performance is analyzed in comparison with other code methods at last.Chapter 5 studies H263+ CODEC. The monitoring system is designed and implemented on the LAN. The software and hardware of TCP/IP embedded control system on the platform of Net Dorm Camera are devised and realized.Chapter 6, which is the last one, contains the summary and conclusion, points out some theories need more researching and developing and forecast the trends of Net Dome Camera. |
