The modern science and technology development causes the biological technology into the application to be possible, the fingerprint recognition technology was a high technology and a new technology which recently developed. The fingerprint recognition is one kind of technology which gathers the fingerprint image and acts to carry on the application according to its characteristic using human body physiological characteristics such as the fingerprint uniqueness and its invariability.The first beginning of this thesis is synoptically introducing fingerprint identification technology & Automatic Fingerprint Identification System (AFIS), mainly about the developmental technology status related with automatic fingerprint identification system, such as all sorts of fingerprint collecting sensors, fingerprint identifying arithmetic and applying types etc.The fingerprint data acquisition is the very important link in the fingerprint technology, therefore it is very important to design one kind of fingerprint acquisition which is high speed, convenient and performs well. The present paper thoroughly has discussed one kind of fingerprint data acquisition system design, and detailed the principles of each part and realization method in the fingerprint acquisition. The following part is about capacitive fingerprint sensor MBF200, including detailed introduction of performance and application. Based on USB bus interface supplied by MBF200, we can design fingerprint-collecting module and realize designing, making and debugging of the hardware circuit. Finally, using directional filter this thesis gives fingerprint design and image self-character and study for a way,for fingerprint resolving image filtering process, the directional diagram arithmetic and directional filter design.Through the present paper research analysis, you can understand the design method and it has the certain reference value to design personals who are going to carry on the system on USB.The main studies in thesis are listed as follows:①Study on the systematic design scheme;②a completion of the design, manufacture and debugging of hardware circuit;③an accomplishment of the design of the USB drivers and its partial debugging;④a research on the pretreatment of fingerprint image and on the design directional filter;⑤an analysis and a realization of the smooth treatment of finger print;⑥the way of a detailed calculation of the directional diagram and the design of the exhaustive design of directional filter and the realization;⑦an analysis and a realization of the binarization imageAll mentioned above has gone on anyhow smoothly , basically meets the requirements, Such kind of these detailed work made a firm basis for the future study of embedded fingerprint identification module.
