Press and Publication includes Publication, Press and Publish. It's a complicated system analysis, management, control and decision making process of Press and Publication management in the modern times, it need better information supporting system to connect all these Online Transaction Processing Systems(OLTPs), to meet the integrated data analysis need of scientific management of Press and Publication management. On the other hand, It's a large separate, self-governed management information system of these OLTPs, they collect all kinds of data about Press and Publication management, but absence of a useful data management and analysis methods. So there are "SEA of DATA", but it could not support the data analysis needs of Press and Publication management. In information society nowadays, how to integrate these separate, self-governed OLTPs , to develop the effective methods to manage the large volume data, to mine the potential of information using data resource, to improve the ability and efficiency, to decrease the management cost, of Press and Publication management, become the great challenge and problems.We selected Data Warehouse technology as a solution to the problem above.Five chapters are included in this article. Firstly we present the developing history of Data Warehouse technology, the motive and significance of the thesis ,the contents and main results of the research. The second part is the user's needs of Press and Publication system. The third chapter introduces the Data Warehouse technology. In the forth chapter ,we develops the architecture and total building scheme of Press and Publication management data warehouse system, and design the mode of logic use the Dimension modeling. In the forth chapter, we realize the system. At last, explains the mainly result of the paper, gives some problems to be more deeply researched in the future.
