Research Of The DSP Data Collecting System Based On EZ_USB FX

Traditional data collecting system uses normal single chip, which is enough for many circumstances. But, due to normal single chip's poor mathematical operation ability, it is faint to be used in complex control fields and complex mathematical operation communication fields. Also, when transferring data between upper computer, it is difficult to configure extended interface. And more, it is often interfered by the high internal PC's radio frequency.The DSP chip, which is special for complex mathematical operation and control fields, has rapid operation speed and higher mathematical operation ability. The recently rising USB technology, simplifies the operation of interface, and also has higher data transferring speed.So, In order to solve the data collecting system's poor ability to deal with mathematical operation, and the disadvantage of configuring interface, this paper investigates a method of Data Collecting System Based on DSP and EZ_USB FX Single Chip. The hardware system picks DSP as the core processor. Through AD conversion, the collected data are passed to the DSP for further mathematic transaction, then, the transacted data are directed to host computer via USB interface. It describes in detail the implement of each part of the data collecting system, and also presents the flow charts and software algorithm of the data transaction. Also, a discussion on the further improvement of the speed of the data collecting system is present in the end.
