Design And Implementation Of Purchase Sales And Storage System On LC

The rapid growth and development of information and communicationtechnologies has led to their wide application in management systems of enterprises,especially those buy, sales and inventory management systems, which has becomeone of the most important methods for enterprises to simplify daily businessoperations, improve management and make fast and efficient decisions. The system this dissertation introduced mainly adopted LeCourant, a softwaredeveloped by Soar Systems Inc. out of considerations such as the characteristics andcurrent status of most wholesale chain stores, their intranet environments, theirexisted requirements, and their future development tendencies of business andmanagement. This Purchase, Sales and Inventory Management System (referred toas PSIM System hereafter) is an executable module which has been compiled andfully tested. It mainly focuses on the rapidity of data processing, extensibility, andflexibility. Users can easily change the legacy systems to this system while theexisted functions is maintained and the capacity of future extension is enhanced. The most common approaches used for web applications today are client-serverapplications and browser-server applications. This dissertation explains the basicstructure of C/S system, analyzes the present status and development tendency, andproposes a two-tier structure of business processing by using LeCourant, that is, thetier of data exchange between PDA and PC of branch companies and that betweenthe servers of branches and servers of headquarters. In this system, the portabilityand mobility of PDAas well as the accuracy of bar code scanning technology is fullyavailed in this system to reduce the keyboard data entry, which will greatly raise theworking efficiency and avoid data entry mistakes. In detail, the branch side mainlygathers the data from PDA, stores temporarily the sales records, prints somefundamental bills, then transmits the sales records to the headquarter. Theheadquarter will make a statistic of the data, and based on that it settles the ordersfrom branches and arranges distributions to each branch. In the final part, the main user interface of this system will be demonstrated andthe key technology used in design of this system and its appliance will beintroduced.
