This paper introduces an distributed supervision system based on embedded Linux techniques, it adopts the popular CAN bus. All the studies are supported by the project of developing a distributed supervision system for communication power system.This paper analyses the character of embedded technology and progress of remote supervision system for communication power before it put forward a plan as a whole of distributed and embedded remote supervision system for communication power based on CAN bus. In this plan the paper presents a discussion of the principle and function of communication power firstly. Finally it concludes that the technique routine of plan consists of expanding a CAN bus interface based on a embedded development board.All contents about this paper are as follows:1. Introduces the principles structures ,basical functions, communication protocols and other technique characteristics, on top of which primarily introduces technology about CAN bus. Finally shows the frame format using in the design system of CAN bus protocol.3. Introduces the detailed portal process of a embedded operation system-uClinux.4. Introduces the process of exploitation about an embedded Web server-BOA and a thorough study of how the BOA supports SSL protocol.5. Introduces the development process of CAN drive programs in this embedded system and points out the problems which are often encountered and how7 to solve them.It is a distributed and embedded supervision system which integrates an embedded system with network-linking function into a distributed control system with CAN bus. It caniirmly transmit information of industrial field and implement no-seam connect between control field and MIS. It has been successfully applied in an actual remote supervision system for multi-module of inverters. The power supervision module and the inverter modules consists a control network through CAN bus. All information is transmitted through the CAN bus. The embedded supervision module is in charge of collecting, managing and transmitting functions. A application program was running on background of uClinux, so the supervision module is also called a pocket Web Server via which information of all inverter modules is transformed to web pages format and sent to Intranet/Internet. We can see the information byInternet browser. Surely we can transmit our commands by web page to change the running state of the inverter modules. This more advanced B/S(Browser/Server) mode is now taking the place of C/S(Client/Server) mode steeply in the field of modem supervision network.
