Application And Research Of CORBA In Water Query System Of Three Gorge

Recently, with the accelerated pace of enterprise to enter an information age, systems of different architecture and systems based on different platform of component in an enterprise need to be integrated so that they can be connected with each other and share information with each other. With the rapid development of internet, enterprise application system must adapt to internet. So, how to find a good solution for enterprise application integration has become an important problem.CORBA, as defined by the Object Management Group (OMG), is the industry-leading, standards-based, distributed object technology.A complex, enterprise-strength distributed application system can be completed based on the characteristics of C0RBA2 . But this distributed system has defects such as it is difficult to complete the integration with system based on other different platform of component and it can' t be visited over internet.Web Services has been designed for an Internet Age, and it is a new develope platform in distributed environment. By introducing web services to CORBA, faults of system based on CORBA2 can be complemented in an enterprise application.With the release and perfection of specifications of CORBA3, new characristics are added to CORBA. CORBA can be integrated with web services.So, system based on CORBA can be visited over internet and a new solution for CORBA to integrate with other systems is provided in a new environment.This thesis discusses CORBA, analyzes the defects of system based on CORBA2. According to the new characristics of CORBA3, this thesis studies the integration between CORBA3 and web services. At last, according to the solution based on the integration between C0RBA3 and web services, this thesis studies how to design and realize a project named Water Query System of Three Gorge.
