This paper details the design and realization of one real-time DSP platform, which is based on FPGA chip. And it emphasizes on the hardware implementation of its core part- FPGA design.The first chapter introduces the needs of market to image collecting system, and the actuality and function of image collecting system. This paper proposes one system architecture to fulfill image real-time processing.As the important role of FPGA in this design, the second chapter introduces FPGA in detail, and emphasizes on its configuration and feature.The third chapter discusses the whole design of the system. It describes SAA7113 of Philips corp. and PC19054 of PLX corp. in detail.In the fourth chapter, the DSP system is separated into several modules, then the function and realization of each module are detailed. Some timing charts are also given to explain and verify related information. At the end of this chapter are the results of this design.The last part of this paper summarizes this work. The problems encountered with their solutions and the further work are also described.
