Nowadays, as the economy and technology develop, there is an increasing demand of high quality water both for industrial and civil use. In the future, the aim of water supply will be: higher water quality, higher credibility of water supply, lower power cost, lower leakage.The research object of the dissertation is automation control and optimization for water industry. For this aim, some important cells in water plant are proposed in this dissertation such as pumping station, filter bed, and so on. Finally, based the successful practice in the field of water industrial system, some research prospects in the field are proposed.The main contributions and research work are as follows:(1) As the theoretical basis and background of the present study, Chap.l presents several main components of Information Integration Technology and analyses the designing and characters of common Industry Control System;(2) Elaborated some automation control methods in intake pumping station. Design asynchronous operations of two electromotors to resolve the problem of vacuum pump's stability. Use customize communication protocol and error checkout technology improve the wireless communication's quality between intake pumping station and Producing Area.(3) Filtering is an important process in the whole water treatment process. In large scale plant, the system has multiply controllers. The communications between these controllers are very complicated. In this thesis, it is described that how to establish the way to communicate and how to reduce the complexity. The level control of filter is also described.(4) According to the second period project, an idea is put forward to meet the need of data integration of heterogeneous databases by data conversion programs; It made success in connecting two PLC networks by software gateway.
