"Shushufu",which was written by Dou Ji, was a calligraphy treatise taking rhapsody as its type in the Tang Dynasty, The variety of the calligraphists, integrality of the content and the abundance of the historical data involved in the article were never seen before or after this. So it became the classical work that works later on often quote and occupied an important seat in the history of Chinese calligraphy. But because of the author's own factor and the factor of edition spreading, there are a great deal of questions on content and edition in"Shushufu". These questions have not yet caused scholars' enough attention before this. The responsibility for this subject is to start with collating and correcting on "Shushufu",and I strive to return Dou's original appearance,to supplement the disappearances of its explanatory notes and to revise the fault of its historical data.I hope the supject can perhaps be beneficial to the history of Chinese calligraphy.Focus that the scholars have always disputed always land on the time of Dou Ji's birth and death, relationships between Dou Meng and the explanatory notes, deadline of the book etc,and these have not taken shape and been said definitely yet so far. This text has summarized the advantage and deficiency of various kinds of statements in Part 1 and put forward the comparatively flexible statement separately, and at the same time I affirmed the rationality of Zhang yanyuan's statement of " Dou Meng's final notes " too. In addition, I once gave play to the historical data value, the calligraphy thought reflected in the article, realistic meaning of Dou Ji's" word dose " to this article to some extent in this chapter,.In the end I have detailed explanation to the course of choosing of the text against which other texts are to be checked. The second chapter is a subject part of mending and correcting. After the collation of the text, we make the difference between different editions more distinct.,We.definite the better edition by way of note without changing the original text of the copy. The content of mending note includes some explanatory note to the hard vocabulary , But our mending notes carried mainly on the historical data of the explanatory notes. Some questions of the historical data arise from factor of the edition, but it is mostly a reason of author himself, for example the errors of the calligraphists' names, places, government posts, pedigrees, times,or even fasten one person's story upon another person etc. I made a careful and detailed analysis in mending the note about these questions, and meanwhile I also made a comment on the phenomenon of incorrectlying relay an erroneous message when later books quote."Yuli and Zige"by Dou Meng is an important supplement to "Shushufu",or even indispensable content.
