Study On Packet Filting Firewall Based On Mobile IPv6

With the rapid development of Internet, more and more problems are coming out. Such as drying up of IP address and the objection of network security. Apparently, the IPv4 Protocol cannot solve these problems efficiently. So the application and generalizing of IPv6 becomes more and more important. There are many hard works to do. Whether the application on Ipv4 applies the IPv6 or not? How can we transfer applications on IPv4 to applications on IPv6 with low cost? How can we utilize the excellency of IPv6 adequately? All these problems need us to study deeply. So it should be studied deeply how to transfer the model of IPv4 Firewalls to the model of IPv6 Firewalls.This paper discusses the theory of Firewall, and classifies all kinds of firewall. Then the differentia between the internetprotocal IPv6 and IPv4 is discussed.Especially, paper gives emphasis to Mobile IP and IP Security.In the following chapters this paper analyses the difficulties of the design of a IPv6 Firewall. There are two main difficulties:1. The change of the IPv6 packet;2. IPv6 supports the Mobile IP more strongly than IPv4, but It makes the firewall cannot distinguish whether a node is local or not.According to these difficulties, this paper offers some resolvents and designed a firewall model on IPv6.
