The Research Of IPv6 Network Firewall Technology

During the rapid development of Internet, people pay more and more attention to network security. Firewall, as a main means of network security technology, has become the most popular network security solution.This paper analyzes and studies the technology of IPv6 network firewall based on Linux2.6 kernel. The paper introduces the basic protocols of IPv6 and IPsec security mechanism. This paper summarizes the types of firewall and the key technology in current practical application. Based on Linux2.6 kernel, this paper analyzes the netfilter/iptables and XFRM framework. The paper presents a general design scheme of IPv6 network firewall, and analyzes the sound code of the packet filter module and Encryption authentication module of firewall in detail. We build a experimental environment of pure IPv6 network. We also have basic network tests, IPsec configuration tests and firewall tests. In the end, this paper gives out some suggestions for the further development in the future.
