Study And Implementation Of The Key Technologies In Workflow Middleware

Software Process Management has effectively improved the production efficiency and software product quality of software organizations. During the construction of their Software Process Management Support System (SPMSS), many medium and small software organizations require a kind of "Software System" to provide services of process logic in the middle tier for multiple concrete enterprise applications in the upper tier.Our project focuses on the actual requirement in the specific field of the construction of SPMSS for medium and small software organizations. Our study and implementation of the key technologies in workflow middleware integrates traditional middleware technology and workflow technology. Firstly, this thesis illustrates the background and the significance of this subject, and presents the workflow middleware solution after comparatively analyzing the typical middleware solutions and their shortcomings. This thesis mainly deals with the study and implementation of the key technologies in workflow middleware. Based on the user requirement analysis, this thesis presents the architecture design, the design for the modules and the interfaces, and the database design. This thesis also presents the middleware technologies integrated in workflow middleware. Two key technologies, i.e., process definition converting and process automation execution, are implemented in three modules, i.e., Information Converting Module, Workflow Engine Module, and Task Queue Management Module. The end of this thesis summarizes my main work and presents the future work. The goal of our project is to help medium and small software organizations construct SPMSS with high quality and high efficiency according to their own dynamic business requirements. The final goal of our project is to help them to practice software process management and improvement with high efficiency, high quality and low costs, and to improve the quality of software products and the enterprise core competitive capability.
