Research On Material Collaborative Supply System

Material purchase and supply is a key process in a manufacturing company. Because of the fierce competition of the markets, companies need to respond rapidly to the changes of the markets and the demands of the customers. The thought Make to Order(MTO) becomes more acceptable to manufacturing companies. And flexibility and ability of cooperation among departments are important to the company. Using advanced information technology is an effective way to provide the company with such things.Material requirement planning (MRP) is a theory of stock planning and production planning. MRP can work out a detail production plan of every material, and then every purchasing plan. Supply Chain Management (SCM) deals with the management of outside companies of the whole supply chain. Collaborative Commerce is aimed to strengthen the connection of different companies by means of internet and e-commerce technologies. MRP is basically a method which deals with internal affairs of planning and management with little concern about supply chain. Using Collaborative Commerce, internal planning of production and materials purchasing can be connected with outside supply chain. Along with this line, we propose a material collaborative supply system(MCSS) with the aim that material supply management of the company can be improved and thus MTO can be achieved.Research of this thesis is based on the demand of the material supply department of Kelon company. Because of the fierce competition in appliance market. Companies must repond to the market rapidly. So production plan need to be made according to customer orders. In midseason of the market, the circle of production planning becomes shorter. And because of the information error and delay, material purchasing plan is offen inaccurate. This results in the drawback of the normal manufacturing process. Material collaborative supply system(MCSS) can computematerial purchasing plan rapidly and accurately according to production plan and material plan, and then automatically produce different purchasing orders based on the information of different suppliers. In this way, the effectiveness of material supply management can be insured.MCSS system is developed by the PowerBuilder 8.0 and ASP. NET. It is devided into two main parts: internal supply information management module and external internet-based material collaborative purchasing platform.The main content of this design includes:(1) Knowledge and analysis of the process of purchaseing plan in the company(2) System design of material purchasing management system, detail design of material purchasing management system,(3) System implementation in the company, including data backup and conversion, and the interface with the original systemOriginal thought in this research is : using a collaborative commerce platform as a connection between internal material supply management module and and external supplies.
