With the development of Internet, people become from the times ofinformation shortage into the era of information abundance step by step, howeverthe contradiction of supply and demand on information faced by people doesn'tlysis. Possible solutions to the contradiction are provided by personalizedinformation retrieval in digital library. Developed countries invested a lot of moneyin research and development on the aspect and attained amazing achievement,however research on the aspect in our country is on the beginning stage. Theauthor tries to refer to advanced foreign experience on design, integrate it withconcrete conditions in our country and apply the technologies of Agent, Filteringand Push to digital library. And then establish the model of personalizedinformation retrieval in digital library according to user model in order to providereference value to construction of it.The paper consists of five parts. I mainly introduced the concept and related principle on personalized information retrieval in digital library in section one and compare personalized information retrieval on Internet with that in digital library inpart one.The thesis puts on emphasizes on section two and three. In section two I manage to relate the techniques on personalized information retrieval in digital library including Agent, Filtering and Push. In section three I introduce and study the related models of information retrieval and derive more applicable model expressing user demand and receive required information.In part four I mainly design the system of personalized information retrieval in digital library including its procedures and algorithm.I narrate the innovative points, insufficiency and the further research of this article in section five.
