The Investigation And Design Of The Digital Library Information Retrieval System

The construction of the digital library stands for the symbol of a University's education standards.Many digital librarys in the Universitiis have been constructed.They well increase the efficiency of the library's management.distribute the information and help readers get information.But the the digital library management systerm still needs to be improved for there is still shortage in the systerm.This paper tells how to design and implement the information retrieval systerm which is a core service of a digital library systerm.It's important for the retrieval systerm to search information for readers.To build a efficient retrieval systerm,we need to use sofeware tool,relative theory.This paper investigates the development of the digital library,the technology of the information retrieval systerm and the the technology of NET.The concept and the function of the metadata and the Dublin core metadata is introduced particularly.so the base of the theory and technology is builded up.The paper gives the model of the tetrieval systerm and the flow of catalogue and index which is based on retrieving metada.The defects of existing retrieval technologies are expounded,which can be settled by the data mining technology.applying the data mining technology in the information retrieval systerm is a new way to make the digital library intelligence and individuation.
