Abstract/Summary:
Under the development of modern industry technology, the applications of digital components are more and more widely. As the base of the information and automation field, the Micro-Chip is very important. Because Micro-Chip hasn't the self-development function like PC. the quality of the Emulator for it directly affects the efficiency and result of the development. With the progress of technology , the emulator has been highly improved. In the paper, aiming at the characteristics of the C8051FXXX series, the development of its emulator is detailedly illustrated. Here the JTAG?is used to connect the emulator and Micro-Chip. There are two sections of the emulator: hardware and software. In the hardware, the conversion from serial port, parallel port or USB port to JTAG port is realized by a CPLD component, by which the volume of the emulator can be reduced and its reliability can be enhanced as well. The feature of this paper is the design of software section. In spit of the fundamental functions the emulator needs, we designed the automatic generator of codes and integrate it in the software development environment. The generator can automatically produce the C or ASM source codes, provided with the requests and necessary parameters as the developers want. This function will highly reduce the time of development, improve the efficiency and advance the stability and reliability of the code.
