ARM microprocessor has been used by the industry control,the electronic product,the communications system,network system,wireless system and so on widely, sharing the over 75 percent market in 32 bits RISC microprocessor.ARM Program based on JTAG interface uses ARM microprocessor as CPU and upgrades the software of the ARM- kernel application-board with the on-line programming technology of JTAG interface in this paper. After analyzing the related techniques, this work gives the design of the system the hardware and the software.Firstly, this paper analyzes the JTAG technology,the USB technology and the communications principle of Modem. The Program uses USB,RS-232 as the communications interface, and uses JTAG as debugging interface,programming interface.Secondly, on the base of analyzing the Program requirement, this paper presents the whole design of the system, and chooses the important component. The system CPU is Philips LPC2144, which extends JTAG interface,USB interface,Modem interface. We structure another JTAG interface on the chip. The chip has SPI bus, we choose the exterior Flash which is compatible with SPI bus as memorizer. The software of the Program has been developed and debugged on the platform of ADS(ARM Developer Suite).Lastly, we analyze the insufficiency of technique realization of the Program and the potential faultiness of the Program design, and probe into and view the development current.
