In this paper, the purpose is to find the direction of the frequency hoppingcommunication signal and to implement the radar pulse compressing in engineering.This paper recounts simply the theory of the frequency hopping, the composing of thefrequency hopping system and analyzes its signal. In the same time, this paperintroduces the wide application of the frequency hopping communication. Itsummarizes and compares the theory, trait and the used range of each direction findingsystem about wireless. According to the characteristic of the wireless wave and its effectto wireless direction finding, we put forward the direction finding techniques tofrequency hopping signal. We introduce the theory of each spatial spectrum estimate ,which is suits to frequency hopping direction finding, simulate the spatial spectrumestimate algorithms and compare their performances. The question of passage mismatchis analyzed, which shows each spatial spectrum estimate algorithm has good toleranceto passage mismatch. The exceed performance mechanism of spatial spectrum estimatealgorithm to direction finding is analyzed. According to the cyclic characteristic offrequency hopping signal, we advance a frequency hopping signal direction findingtechnique based on cyclostationary estimate algorithm and analyze its capabilitie. In thelast, this paper studies the linear frequency modulation (LFM) signal usedADSP-TS101S to implement the radar pulse compressing in engineering.
