The efficiency of design is greatly improved by CAD technology that is widely used in the field of architecture design. It is a worthy of research task how to increase the management level and efficiency of engineering budget with electric drawing and computer technology. In this paper, the data and function model of engineering budget are constructed, the method of steel reinforcement quantity extraction based on character semantics and the management of a great lot data of engineering budget are presented, then the work flow model of engineering budget is set up, finally two subsystems that are steel reinforcement extracting and engineering budget are realized. The research results have been applied to practice.In chapter 1, the research status of relative technologies of the engineering budget is firstly introduced, then the problems and shortcomings existed in the engineering budget system are analyzed, finally the research contents are expounded, with which followed a brief introduction to the dissertation's architecture.In chapter 2, the data types and characters of engineering budget is firstly analyzed, and the E-R data model of engineering budget system is built with E-R data model technology, then the function model of engineering budget system is set up on the basis of analyzing the function framework of engineering budget.In chapter 3, the steel reinforcement character semantics in construction drawing is firstly analyzed, and then the method of steel reinforcement quantity extraction based on character semantics is presented, which recognize and calculate the steel reinforcement quantity with character semantics of label and autoeciousness.In chapter 4, the datastructure of engineering budget and several complicated data processes in engineering budget are analyzed, such as ration management, engineering quantity management, price of material management, data conversion, then the realized method of which is presented.In chapter 5, several operation processes of engineering budget are discussed, and then the work flow model and software architecture of engineering budget are presented.In chapter 6, the examples of the two subsystems are finally given.The remainder of this dissertation summarizes the research work and gives the future work of this research.
