Research And Application Of Project Management In A Distributed PDM System

As the rise of needs of user and development of techniques, Internet going deep into PDM system more and more, the Distributed PDM system, which crosses through the enterprise's whole processes, has become hot spot of exploitage. Project Management has been an important part in Distributed PDM system and its design also plays a significant role in the whole PDMsystem's design.This paper is written on the basis of the Distributed PDM system. Shenyang Institute of Automation of CAS exploits this system in self-determination for adapting the development of automation industrialization. In the robot product development, the system has increased the quality of product and cut the cycle of product design, win the compete predominance for the enterprise. In this paper, aiming at the status of PDM system of Shenyang Institute of Automation of CAS, using multi-layer architecture and other techniques, Project Management system is designed and implemented. Via the whole management to the project, it follows the schedule of project effectively, ensure the correct direction, and accomplish the project on time.This paper compares several popular development technologies in detail, uses Delphi6 to build Client application and Web application, Oracle as database, inside the enterprise we use Intranet and outside use Internet. Only one standard explorer and the authority make Internet consumer use this system.
