Customized Design For Virtual Product Based On Network Environment

As the development of our society and the improvement of our living standard, the consumer put more and more requirement on the personality of product and service. The manufacture industry is entering into an age of "Design only for you" and "Designed by the customer, produced by the factory". Because of the wide disturbance of the customer, the personalized product design based on WEB becomes the new trend of network manufacture. Some manufacture enterprises overseas have designed some Customized Design Systems. The essence of these systems is to choose the product from the product database to fulfill the need of the customers. That's to say, the user doesn't get involved in the design of these product, cannot see the 3D model of the product before ordering and cannot see the real result of the product This paper discusses the shortage of existing customized ordering system and explores the research of personalized design system.Firstly, this paper discussed Virtual Reality technology and Virtual Design technology, and then explored in detail of Virtual Modeling Language based on Internet-VRML. Through the discussion of property, architecture and work model of VRML, the detail analysis and research of 3D product construction, the dynamic presentation and publish of the product based on Web, exploration of the model in the real sense based on VRML, using the multimedia function of the VRML, we simulate the product surface based on picture curving.To organize and manage the large amount data of the product efficiently, the technology of database is necessary. After the discussion of the property, architecture, configuration of network database, we make deep research on the technology of network database system and compare the characteristics of different access method of Web database, and choose the JDBC to connect the database and our system. We make detail analysis of the database technology based on JDBC and four different methods to connect to the database, we choose the best method to fit our system.At last, on the base of Virtual Reality, Virtual Design, Network, Database and etc, We propose the thought of the virtual product design system based on network and supporting the design with the user involvement, discuss the thought, principle and method of the software design, choose Java, VRML and EAI as the basic of the system, construct the basic architecture and framework of the system, give some examples of the system.This paper constructs the network platform for virtual product presentation, implements the integration of the 3D information of the product and related information, supports the visual query and customer design of the product based on network environment, does some researches on the technology and method of the real-time modification of the virtual product, and implements the real-time modification of the color and texture of the product surface.
