The rapid development of fieldbus not only provides a good chance to develop the flight data acquisition system, but also challenges the low-leveled technology of flight data measurement, which urges to adopt the filedbus technology in the flight data acquisition system. The data collectors are the hardcore in the flight data acquisition system. By connecting several data collectors with a single bus, which is trend of development of flight data test macro, we can improve the data acquisition capacity and flexibility significantly. In this paper, the discussions are carried out about the flight data acquisition system based on fieldbus.The LONWORKS technology, one of the many fieldbus technologies developed in recent years and available as an open standard to all manufacturers, now has been widely used in the automatic areas ranged from industry, building, transportation, to power system. It integrates computer, network and control into one technology and displaces proprietary centralized systems with open, highly distributed, interoperable systems. Neuron chip, whose network protocol has all 7 layers of the ISO/OSI reference model, has the abilities of both communication and application control, provides 34 I/O object and work long-range temperature between -40 #to 85#. The technology also provides versatile methods for building and managing the control networks. At the same time, some products based on LONWORKS technology have been used on some foreign planes. So it is affirmed that LONWORKS technology can be applied in flight data acquisition system.In this paper, solutions for the flight data acquisition system are proposed based on the LONWORKS technology and further discussed in detail. The smart nodes and supervisor software are analyzed, furthermore, the calibration method of signal detection channel properties and network communication are discussed.
