Focusing on the field monitoring characteristics, adopting the basal mechanical technique, introducing the advanced fieldbus technique, and using the reliable application of computer controlling, this paper set forth the controlling monitor system based on the CANBUS.This controlling monitor system consists of the driver system of mechanic, pan-tilt controller, video camera controller, the system of micro-controller, the system of PC controller, and the system of image collection. During the course of the development of the controlling monitor system, the paper deeply researches the following the problems: Firstly, considering the special the range of monitoring, the paper puts forward a design method that disperse structural plan make the tolerance of transmission linearity reasonable. And successfully applying the method to the controlling monitor system.Secondly, a distributed controlling plan is brought forward because of a CAN card as a linker making the communication easy between the system of PC and the system of the single controller machine, focusing the field application of CANBUS. Thirdly, after serious researching the characteristics of the pan-tilt machine and that of video camera ,according to the voltage of the AC electromotor and that of DC electromotor, designing the pan-tilt controller and video camera controller.Fourthly, the paper pictures the basic structure of the software of the distributed controlling system based on the CANBUS. And applying the structure to the controlling system based on the CANBUS and P80C592 micro-controller.Fifthly, the application software of PC controlling system run in the Win98 programmed by VB. At the same time, communication modules about CANBUS, such as initialization module, transmit and receive module, are also programmed for the general-purpose, which run on the P80C592 micro-controller. The developing environment is Keil C51.Sixthly, after integrating the image collection and controlling monitor into the same interface by VB, observing and controlling is easy.Finally, the experiment results prove that the controlling monitor system based on the CAN-Bus can work steadily and reliably, operate concisely and securely, andits applicability is extensive.
