Oracle Database Background Monitor Of Telecom Operation And Management System

For Telecom Operation and Management System which based on Oracle database, the managements of data and database take up the most amount of work of its management, and they are also the most difficult parts. In order to ensure that basic data are reliable and integrated, and ensure that database is in the best status, it must to keep emphasis on strengthening the management of database's performance and reliability. At the same time, database administrators (DBAs) need to use effective management tools to improve their work quality. So the Telecom Operation and Management System can run better and transactions can be processed faster.My work is to study the realization of Oracle database background monitor, which is used in Telecom Operation and Management System. This paper will first introduce the importance of database background monitor, then the productions of database monitor tools nowadays, C/B/S structure of Telecom Operation and Management System and the management goal of database monitor tools. And then we will focus on function and design ideas about Oracle database background monitor software. And later we will discuss the pivotal technologies, such as how to collect the data of database monitor information, how to realize automatic management of ODBC, and use ftp to realize file accessing between two different operating systems. In the end, the paper will summarize the merit of this monitor software and my work.
