The Drive Circuit For New Type Power IGBT And Study Of Series And Parallel Operation

This article analyzed the work characteristic, function principle of power IGBT, the principle and the request of its drive and protection circuit. The characteristic, problem in use and additional function of several circuits such as EXB841, M57962AL and 2SD315A were particular discussed and analyzed. To solve problems of semiconductor drive circuit those exist in our special pulse power supply, improve on function was adopted. Those circuits were all applied properly in our power supply system, operated in good condition.To further increase the output power of the power supply, we used IGBT modules in series and parallel connection, at the same time the voltage and current balance, synchronously trigger, cooling, placement and wiring of the series and parallel IGBT modules were discussed and analyzed. In addition, the series and parallel simulation circuit was study. Now the application of series and parallel technique used in our power system was approved effective.
