The Research And Practice On IGBT Series Connection Assembly

It is difficult for TGBT to he used in series connection. The demand for high voltage IGBT applications have being increased. Because of this reason many company in abroad have paid a lot of attention on it. Except for developing high vol tage IGBT device, they are developing the high voltage and current assembly.There are no report on this research work in our country.After discussing the static, dynamic transient states, power loss, snubber circuit and heat sink, a series connection IGUT slack have been designed with 6 IGBT devices in this paper. The IGBT stack have been built and tested .The stack work well in voltage balance and can overtop 90KW output power by test. A single assembly had drove a 50KW motor for more than 30 hours .This IGBT assembly will have wide application in the future.
